BAD COMPANY

BAD COMPANY - Bad Company(1974)

Formado em 1973 pelos membros do antigo Free, Paul Rodgers e Simon Kirke - que convocaram Mick Ralphs(ex-Mott the Hoople) e Boz Burrell(ex-King Crimson). Logo no disco de estréia(postado aqui!!), estouraram com "Can't get enough". O album, que chegou ao terceiro lugar nas paradas americanas, capta uma energia movida a altas doses de cocaína, num som que segue um modelo do Cream de Hendrix, juntando soul e country. O disco traz maravilhas como "Can´t Get Enough...", a comovente "Movin On", a suplicante "Ready For Love" e a balada "Seagull". Bad Company contou com o trabalho do engenheiro de som Roy Nevison, que mais tarde se tornou produtor. A bateria de Kirke foi posta num corredor para a gravação e os vocais da faixa-titulo foram feitos a noite, para criar o clima, num terreno das vizinhanças. Como lembra Rodgers, "álcool e drogas" eram o verdadeiro combustivel da banda, mas Bad Company é um exemplo perfeito do blues rock alto astral. Steve Clarke, da revista NME, se entusiasmou: "Tudo o que eles tocam vira "ouro". Ele poderia ter dito platina, também.Em 1983 a banda terminou. Esse álbum é considerado um dos melhores dos anos 70....ótimo disco!!!

O grupo vocal foi formado em Detroit no início dos anos 60 e liderados por Martha Reeves. Foi ao lado das Supremes um dos mais populares girl groups da década de 60. O TERÇO - Criaturas da noite(1975)

Santíssima Trindade era um dos primeiros nomes da banda que conhecemos como ‘O Terço’. No primeiro compacto a banda tinha, Segio Hinds na guitarra, Jorge Amiden, na tritarra, Cézar de Mercês no baixo e Vinícius Cantuária na bateria. Com essa formação eles gravaram dois compactos e o disco de estréia, ‘O Têrço’. Como um trio, o grupo lançou mais um compacto e o segundo álbum, que tinha a participação de Luiz Paulo Simas nos teclados. Sergio Magrão assumiu o baixo um ano antes do antológico ‘Criaturas da Noite’, que foi o terceiro disco da banda e também já contava com Flávio Venturini nos teclados.Com Flávio Venturini a banda gravou mais um disco, ‘Casa Encantada’, relançou o disco clássico em inglês, ‘Creatures of the Night’ e ainda existe um bootleg desse período gravado no Teatro Philadelphia. Flávio Venturini e Sérgio Magrão saíram da banda para formarem o ‘14 Bis’, e para ocupar o lugar deixado por eles vieram Cézar de Mercês, que voltou para empunhar uma guitarra e Sérgio Caffa que foi para o baixo.E com essa formação, e ainda com a participação de Sergio Magrão no baixo em algumas faixas, eles gravaram o disco ‘Mudança de Tempo’. Depois disso a banda quase parou com a debandada de todos integrantes....o resto é história!!!!

SOLOMON BURKE - If you need me & Rok'n Soul

Esse cantor de gospel, nascido na Philadélphia em 1936, teve uma trajetória artística irregular, desde sua estréia em 1955 até sua aposentadoria em 1975, quando passou a se dedicar ao ofício de bispo da igreja de sua própria família, a Casa de Deus Para Todos os Povos. Solomon Burke gravou sobretudo singles, o que se reflete em sua discografia oficial, onde predominam as coletâneas. Os mais conhecidos são "Just out of reach", "Cry to me" e "If you need me" ambas regravadas pelos Rolling Stones e "Got to get you off my mind" seu maior sucesso.
